Meetings
NYAAEL’s Laboratory Community Update contains pertinent information for laboratory members including relevent topics for instructing our members in different aspects of the laboratory industry. A representative of the New York State ELAP program is always invited to speak at this meeting as well. The meetings are held in Syracuse in March, Albany in June, and Rochester in October. This meeting is always held on Tuesday and follows our training seminar held the previous day. Suggestions for topics are always welcome and appreciated.
Seminars
NYAAEL’s training seminars provide laboratories an inexpensive outlet for the training of their laboratory personnel. NYAAEL is able to provide CEUs for NYS water and wastewater operators at many of these seminars. NYAAEL holds three seminars per year. They are held in Syracuse in March, Albany in June, and Rochester in October. This seminar is always held on Monday and is followed by our Laboratory Community Update the next day. Suggestions for topics are always welcome and appreciated.
Annual Convention
The NYAAEL/PaAAEL Annual Convention and Exposition is held every summer in either Pennsylvania or New York. It is a two-day convention coupled with a trade show featuring industry representatives from all over the United States. Two sessions running concurrently provide training by industry experts on topics of interest to the laboratory community. This convention is designed to fill the needs of small to medium laboratories and stay within their training budget.
